Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation is the debut album of the Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. The album was released on October 20, 2003 through Ferret Music. Produced by Colin Richardson and co-produced by the band. Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation shows a new direction for the band from Four Ways To Scream Your Name (2002), and displays a more mature and developed sound. The album also features brand-new versions of the songs Juneau, Escape Artists Never Die, Red is the New Black and Summer's Dead and Buried (now called Waking Up). The album made #12 on the UK charts and went Gold.
The cover of the album as well as its' subsequent singles is based on the two paintings "The Lovers" by the Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte.
The CD was released in Japan with two bonus tracks: This Year's Most Open Heartbreak and Kiss and Makeup (All Bets are Off); which were taken from the previously released EPs.
