During a period of approximately six years VanderLinde has produced three albums. The first two albums ‘Fertility’ (2006) and ‘VanderLism’ (2008) received excellent reviews in both The Netherlands and Germany.
In October 2009 and 2010 VanderLinde went to Erwin Musper’s ‘The Bamboo Room Studio’ in Cincinnati USA to record their third album ‘Wind and Rain’. Special contributors to the album were, amongst others, Tennis Mounts (studio drummer of Ed Kowalczyk (LIVE) and others) and steel guitarist Dana Keller (Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye) with whom VanderLinde recorded several amazing tracks. Three violinists and a cellist from the ‘Cincinnati Symphonic Orchestra’ also contributed to five songs. The release of the album is coming up soon. Right now the new single ‘The Difference’ is being promoted and distributed. Single and music video can be heard and viewed at www.vanderlinde.info.
VanderLinde’s music is characterised by its purity, transparency, relatability and its unique sound but can be surprising at the same time. It can best be described as pop rock and country rock.
Arjan van der Linde, composer, lyricist, singer and bass player has created a solid foundation of new musicians with whom he shares the stage: Bart Schwertmann (guitar and vocals), Teun Supheert (drums and vocals) and Wietze Koning (guitar). And a fifth force, sound engineer Taco Amsing, completes the band.
